Adriano Manocchia
Born in New York City, Adriano Manocchia received a Bachelors degree from Pace University in New York. After graduating, he spent 12 years as a photojournalist traveling the world. In 1984, Adriano turned his attention to fine art and quickly received the attention of critics worldwide. A number of awards and special projects marked his recognition in the art field. Adriano’s work is in major private collections. My paintings are my emotions; I paint what attracts me. It is that incessant search for the visually stimulating that makes this voyage exciting. While painting places I observe, I enhance my images through compositional means, bringing them closer to ideals upheld in a bygone age of painting. I leave the complexity of life behind in my work.”

Matt Hart
Owner, designer, and artist at Hartist Metals for almost twenty years. Creating work in metals such as sculpture, railings, signage, and many forms of functional art. As an outdoorsman since day one, his designs and fabrications have always been nature inspired. “The flow of unsymmetrical vines, branches, or water can present endless patterns for sculpture or railing balustrades”, says Hart. Driven by the urge to create everything custom, these designs are drifting into his favorite passion, fishing. From the shop of Hartist Metals, hatched The Forged Fly. Casting himself deep into the world of fly tying, The Forged Fly will be manipulating metals to imitate the soft and fluffy materials used for fly fishing. “I’ve always seen the flies as tiny sculptures. It was only right we had to sculpt them in steel, and go big!”. Focusing on the legacy of this venture and these creations, the mission of The Forged Fly is to connect, create, and inspire. Connect with fisherman, friends, and families that have a fly with a story. Then create! Whether it’s the fly tied the night before you caught the big one or a fly originated by someone who deserves their pattern to be enlarged, glorified, and immortalized in metals. It’s the passion behind the story that is forged into these works of art.

Bryan Richheimer
Exploring craftsmanship has been my lifelong journey. I built a house including cabinets, vanities, and doors from a barn which was carefully dismantled. Custom tile and stone work in home construction and restoration opened another creative chapter.
I now combine these building skills with my love of nature. Inspired by wood recovered mostly from Vermont forests and riverbanks, my sculptures strive to capture the beauty and powerful grace of birds in a natural setting. Feathers are constructed from different types of bark and beaks are hand carved.
Constantly advancing my sculptures by discovering new materials and techniques to enhance a bird, is part of exploring this unknown territory. A heron was built around a palm leaf which I thought would be a perfect tail. “No one is doing this!” is a common response to my work.
