Buy a chance to own a beautiful, original oil painting by George Van Hook of the storied covered bridge on the Battenkill.

Van Hook considers his paintings primarily a visual response to the selected environment, be it landscape, figure, or still life. “I want the color to be beautiful and the drawing firm and secure,” he says. For the last five years, Van Hook has been involved in Plein Air competitions and has won numerous awards.  

Raffle tickets are $50 each, and only 200 will be sold. Proceeds from the ticket sales will benefit the Arlington Common to help provide community programming for wellness. after-school programs, workshops, and community events.

The winning ticket will be chosen on Saturday, May 4th at the Battenkill Fly Fishing Festival Concert intermission at the Arlington Common Performing Aarts Center.  The winner need not be present.
